Joyn Plus can now also be bought on joynevents.com. The checkout there is run by Stripe, and the payment itself is taken by Link, Stripe's payment service, as an independent controller under its own privacy policy, so Joyn never sees your card or wallet details. Added what Joyn stores about a subscription bought on the website, Stripe to the list of providers, what happens to that subscription and its records when you delete your account, and that Stripe can process the subscription details in the United States.
Joyn now keeps a backup copy of the photos, videos, and other files shared in Joyn at Cloudflare, stored in the EU, so they can be restored if they are ever lost from Supabase. The copy is used for nothing else. When a file or an account is deleted in Joyn, its backup copy is removed within an hour; a file removed by Joyn's own cleanup keeps its copy for up to eight days, so a mistaken removal can be undone. Added Cloudflare's new role to the list of providers, to how deletion works, and to where your data is stored.
Link previews are now fetched by Joyn's servers on every client, so a link someone sends you no longer reveals your IP address to the site it points at; the policy said it did, and that is no longer true. Your private assistant can now read your Apple Calendar only if you turn it on separately in Joyn, and it never receives your calendar notes or the name of the calendar an entry sits on. Described the assistant reading pages on the open web and the browser Joyn runs at Cloudflare, and added Cloudflare to the list of providers. Described what the assistant remembers, including the conversation summaries and the profile it writes about how you plan. Added the in-app feedback you send us, which the policy had never covered. Corrected a statement that Joyn does not use the microphone: it does, for sound in a video you record. Set out the legal basis for each purpose separately, said where your data is actually stored, and added sections on automated decisions, US state privacy rights, and what happens to your data if Joyn is sold.
Disclosed that the event-suggestion scan also sends the titles of upcoming events every member of the chat is already invited to, so you are not offered an event you already have.
